2. Summary
ABCD – Learn Letters & Numbers is an educational app for toddlers and preschool children. The App does not require accounts or sign-in. It is designed to work offline and does not collect, transmit, or store personal information about users on remote servers. The App stores only local settings on the device (for example: autoplay interval, custom phrases, and night mode preference).
3. Information we collect
- No personal information: The App does not collect or send personal identifiers (names, email addresses, device identifiers) to our servers.
- Local settings: The App stores settings locally on the device using the platform's local storage mechanisms (e.g., SharedPreferences on Android). These settings include preferences like mute/unmute, autoplay interval, custom phrases, and night mode.
- TTS usage: The App uses the device's text-to-speech engine (local or system TTS) to read letters, numbers, states, and capitals. Text-to-speech audio is generated on the device; the App does not send the spoken text to external servers.
4. Analytics and third parties
- No analytics: By default, this App does not include analytics or advertising SDKs. If you add any third-party analytics (for example Google Analytics or Firebase), you must disclose that in this policy and ensure that any collection complies with applicable laws and Play Store Families policy.
- Third-party services: The App does not use third-party ad networks or trackers in the current repository. If you later add them, update this policy and the Play Console entries.
5. Ads & in-app purchases
- Ads: The App contains no ads in this codebase.
- In-app purchases: The App does not require purchases in its current form. If you add in-app purchases, list them on the Play Console and in this policy.
6. Children's privacy and Families Policy
- Target audience: The App is intended for children (toddlers and preschoolers). Because children are a target audience, you must ensure the Play Console settings mark the app appropriately and comply with Google Play’s Families policy.
- Data minimization: The App is designed not to collect personal data from children. If you change this behavior (for example, add account features), you must obtain verifiable parental consent and update this policy.
7. Data retention and deletion
Local settings are retained on the device until the user clears the app data or uninstalls the App. The App provides no server-side storage in this version, so to remove settings, users can clear app data via device settings.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to secure local data stored on the device, but no method of local storage is 100% secure. The App does not transmit or store personal data on remote servers in this release.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
10. GDPR (European Economic Area residents)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you specific rights regarding your personal data. This App is designed not to collect or transmit personal data to our servers in its current form. Nevertheless, where GDPR applies, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you (right of access).
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data (right of rectification).
- Request deletion of your personal data (right to erasure), where we have no legal obligation to retain it.
- Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
- Object to processing where applicable.
- Request transfer of your personal data in a structured, commonly used format (data portability), if applicable.
Because the App does not collect or store personal data on servers in this release, most of these rights will not apply in practice. If you believe we hold personal data about you or your child and wish to exercise any of the above rights, contact us at developeramankumar@gmail.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
11. CCPA (California residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides consumers with certain rights regarding their personal information. In this App's current version we do not collect, sell, or share personal information about users with third parties. Under the CCPA you may have the right to:
- Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you (if any).
- Request deletion of personal information we have collected from you (if any).
- Opt-out of the sale of personal information. This App does not sell personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your CCPA rights.
To exercise your rights under the CCPA or to make a request, please contact us at developeramankumar@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding to requests.
